Atlas Copco during its 150 years has reinvented itself manytimes
at both the Group and product level it went from rail to
compressedair and diesel motors at the turn of the 1900s,and
then transformed again from Atlas Diesel to Atlas Copco in 1950s.
More recent examples are the creation of the Vacuum Technique
business area in 2017 following strategic acquisitions and
the spin-off of the group's longtime mining equipment
operations into Epiroc in 2018.
