[ TECHNICAL TEXTILES. AFTER THE 'GRID '? ]

The birthplace of the Web, Cern, which is based near Geneva, is now busy working on "the grid" that boasts speeds nearly 10,000 times faster than a typical Broadband connection, and that may soon render the Web obsolete. The grid computing project was started around seven years ago by researchers at Cern. They claim "the grid" is so fast it is capable of sending the entire Rolling Stones back catalogue from Britain to Japan in less than two seconds.

Can we expect something like this in Technical Textiles such as: One pair of dress which changes with,no wash, dip dry,no ironing, sweat proof, dust proof, itch proof, anti static, ever fresh, electric shock proof, fire proof, stain proof and the shoes slip proof (with some of the features already incorporated in few fabrics) to suit our colour and design by the hidden button in the computerized dress and another gadget in the shoes to change the color of the shoes.(Except our purse with money,Credit card and Driving Licence.) Perhaps crazy like it was like the moon walk or a Space Station with Astronauts.
