In an exclusive talk with Myris.com, Rahul Parekh, managing director, Mahalaxmi Rubtech said, "the top line is estimated to cross Rs.1 billion" for the year 2007-08, which is almost 10 times more than the last year i.e. March 2007 of the company before merger with Mahalaxmi Fabric Mills Pvt.
Incorporated in 1991, the company is active in the manufacture and export of fabrics, seals and rubber parts. The ISO 9001:2000 certified company manufactures textile printing blankets, rubber-coated fabrics, hydraulic seals, precision rubber molded parts, air cells (flexible separators) and hydraulic seals. The manufacturing facilities of the company are located in the Ahmedabad district of Gujarat with a capacity to produce blankets of upto 426 feet in length, and width of upto 3,000 mm.
In FY07, the company forged a tie-up with Zimmer Textile Technology Gmbh (Austria) to market its products worldwide. It has a entered the global arena taking into account its exports to China, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Taiwan, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Turkey, Nigeria, Iran, Egypt, Tanzania, South Africa, Singapore, Kenya, Greece and Guatemala.
