A new study from the the International Trade Administration (ITA) of the US Department of Commerce highlights the key markets that are predicted to see increased exports by US producers of technical textiles and nonwovens, based on past export performance and projected growth estimates to 2016.
Mexico is the number one market for US nonwoven exports, even as the consumption of such products is still developing in the country. Since 2009 exports of US-produced nonwovens to Mexico have grown by 14.4% annually.
In 2014, Canada was the second largest market for US exports of nonwovens. In 2014, the US exported $434.6 million of nonwovens to Canada, a 39% increase over $312.2 million exported in 2009.
