[ Functional Finishes -Textiles - Parvathy Mills]

Resins & catalysts.
This range of products comprises polymers designed to impart wash-and-wear properties to textile substrates by using a cross-linking mechanism. Also engineered to impart wrinkle-free and easy care properties, these products consist of DMDHEU, low or no formaldehyde for safe applications. Our resins can be combined with softeners, polyurethanes and waxes to obtain desired properties in cotton, woven fabrics.
Encapsulated fragrances.
Encapsulated materials in textile application include fragrance coatings and active ingredient coatings. Resil’s encapsulated fragrances comprise capsules of micron sizes – in the order of 1-10 micron and are applied by exhaust, padding and spraying. The typical durability is improved from 10 to 15 washes by using binders. The capsulation can also be applied with other finishing agents to impart various properties to the textile substrate.
Silicone water repellents.
This product comprises polymers designed to impart water-repellant properties to textile substrates by using an effective cross-linking mechanism. This hydrogen modified silicone has excellent rotational property helping generate hydrophobic surfaces. Further, it can be applied by padding or exhaust process to improve easy care properties to textiles.
Flame retardants.
Flammability is now being considered as a critical safety feature for clothes such as night wear, kitchen wear, kids wear, etc. These articles are potentially risky and are often sold at the novelty of their design, resulting in poor protection against flames. Flame retardants increase the time for fire or the flame to catch up on textiles. This gives a wide safety margin for the user, helping put off the flame rapidly.

Stain guard and stain release finish.
Resil’s stain guard comprises specialty polymers designed to repel liquid stains on the surface of the fabric. Typically a water and oil repellent, based on fluorocarbons, these stain guards are resistant to washing and dry cleaning and possess good breathability. Common test methods include AATCC22 (water spray test) and AATCC118 (oil spray test). Resil’s stain release consists of specialty polymers designed to release stains from the textile substrate.
Seam slippage improver.
Resil’s seam slippage remover uses the process of modified silica dispersion to impart anti-seam slippage on textile substrates. This product can be applied on the fabric at the garment stage. Our unique combination of anti-seam slippage along with softener balances the finishing and seam slippage requirements. Colloidal silica dispersion liquid designed to improve anti-slip properties mainly on viscose rayons, synthetics and blends. The dispersion helps in improving slip and grip properties of coated yarns and hence avoids breakage and slippage. Application dosage: 15-35 gpl.
Mosquito repellents.
About 40% of the world’s population is at risk from malaria. Typical mosquito repellents are synthetic in nature. Today, there exists various naturally derived insect repellents such as PMD and products based on citronella which work by interfering with the chemical sensors of mosquitoes and confusing or driving them away. Resil would be launching a globally certified, herbal mosquito repellent for textile substrates on non-woven products. Product Contents
