65 years ago I was a qualified Textile Technologist specializing in Spinning.
I was a Spinning Supervisor and stayed in a Hotel near the room in Coimbatore after completing my mandatory training at Madurai Mills as Govt of India Trainee who transferred me to their sister unit Kamala Mills one of 18 Textile Mills the largest group in INDIA at that time.
We spinning supervisors never bothered about Weaving Department.
I not only supervised Spinning but the whole Mills as there was no objection by the Management of any Mills that I worked.
Only after I became Production Manager I realized how important it was to know WEAVING.
The Weaving Master Mr.Williams told me many many things in Weaving.
WEFT STOP MOTION AT THAT TIME WAS NO ISSUE.
I retired as MD of a Textile Mills making Technical Textile Products.
