[ PLI 2.0 under consideration. PLI meaning Production Linked Incentive.]

Union Minister of (1)Commerce and Industry, (2)Consumer Affairs,(3)Food (4)Public Distribution AND (5) Last but not the least - Textiles.( Mother of all Industries)


Sri. Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Minister of Commerce and Industry,Consumer Affairs,Food and Public Distribution and TEXTILES.

(I need to Know if Textiles is not in the perview of INDUSTRY?.
Of course it is the Industry, actually it's Mother of all Industries.
What is the meaning of Textiles?
Textiles means CLOTH.
Is our Minister of Textiles,is a Minister of Cloths?
The Textile Minister is Sri.Piyush Goyal, who also holds 5 other portfolio's.
1) Commerce.
2)Industries.( How many Industries India has?)
3)Consumers Affairs. ( Who are these people,are they all consumers only?.
4)Public Distribution.
5)Textiles.Which means Clothes.)


(Should we not have a Full Time Cabinet Minister to work like our PM Sri.Narendra ModiJi)


Hon'ble Minister was asking the stake holders of the TEXTILE INDUSTRY to strive to move the value chain.He was interacting with the beneficiaries of the Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI) for textiles at a review meeting in New Delhi.
He asked the beneficiaries to focus on improving the quality of textile products made in India to make them wrld class.The USP of Indian textiles industry must not be restricted to cheap labour,the minister apined. He asked that textile sector workers be paid fairly,given social security and brought to the formal sector.
Goyal acknowledged the textile sector's inherent capability to create employment and drive both growth and exports and said that textiles was one of the sectors identified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an industry with immence potential
The Minister said the center was looking at PLI 2.0 and instructed officials of the Ministry to undertake extensive and exhaustive stake holders consultations before finalizing the cotours f PUI 2.0. He asked them to make PIL 2.0 robust and emphasized that PLI 2.0 would empowerthe sector to compeye globally with top exhorting countries like CHINA and Vietnam.
The review meeting under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Minister was attended by reprasentatives og 49 company'sand key dignitaries of Ministry of Textiles under the PLI Textile Part 1, 67 applications had applied out of which 64 were selected and out of these 64 companyes 55 companies had formed participant companies.The proposed investment during the entire tenure of the scheme is INR 19.789 Cr out of which INR 1,536 has been invested so for.
Review meeting was held to understand the implimentation status of the projects under the Scheme and for resolving their issues.Companies complimented the ministry for PLI scheme.At the meeting,several procedural issues were clarified for the sake of easy undersstanding.NICDC share the ready availability of land with plug and play facility at Dholera,Aurangabad,Greater NOIDA and one.
Minister also directed the Ministry team to actively engage with the participents and resolve state and administrative issues they faced.He urged textile industry players to work with a sence of duty a "kartavya bhavana',aim higher and dream bigger to take Indian textile industry to greater heights.
