[ A TEXTILE SHOW ROOM IN PAKISTAN ]

What we need without even food "is cloth", which we are selectively importing than manufacturing in India.

Pakistan is manufacturing from yarn counts below 40s,with these fabric construction. The above detail of various types of construction that are being currently produced by them. Besides these we have got an immense collection of various designs, constructions that you can order with and they positively assure you that the quality and the result will be far more than our expectations.
We do produce these fabrics but the khadi, hand loom, power loom andmerchant owned cloth processing units dump their productions faking reputed textiles mill products there by dashing all hopes for QUALITYin every type of fabric.
CARDING THE HEART OF GOOD SPINNING..
Rieter's Chute Feed Carding Machine next to the Blow Room Machine is yet an another important step in Spinning Automation. The output from the blowroom which is from 300 gms to 420 gms per yard of a sheet of cotton is converted in to a one yard of a sliver ( a rope form ) of few milligrams of opened cotton which after throughly cleaning it and removing 95 % of cotton seed.leaves, dirt and other impurities.

I could't get the picture of another CARDING MACHINE which is also a superior model as the UK based co 's web site did not have the picture.
It is also fed to CARDING MACHINE MANUALLY OR BY CHUTE FEED SYSTEM.
.The balance of all impurities is then removed in this machine besides separating the entangled mass of fibres in the cotton coming from the lap or chute system is mostly separated
(The rope form as you can see in the picture bottom right)
It is then deposited in to a can of 48" dia and 52" lenghth
The fibre cans termed as card cans or to the next machine the Draw Frame These are also taken to the Draw Frame machine,by manual or auto transportation by the Rieter's System only
This system is explained earlier.
The next machine "The Drawing Machine" photo is down below this machine.
Which in tandem works with this machine.
There is provision to disconnect the feed to any of the machines.
The drawback with this system is that you cannot use a ,different raw material, for product changes.
Most of the mills who opt for this system compromise on product mix or a change in the raw material for all the products.
However there will be limitations in end products, there is of-course a choice to change but you will have to have a break in production continuation which will be intercepted.
QUALITY.
The input is controlled.
The output is controlled.
Any problem ?.
Machine stops.
A signal light indicates the problem.
The whole machine is controlled electronically.
Lower the speed of production the quality gets improved.
Higher the speed chances of quality may adversely affect.
Quality depends on speed.
Production speed is adjustable.
Rotating machine parts are set to thousands of an inch.
Machine is fed electronically.
A metal detector is provided.
The machine cleans itself during working.
A dust collector device is a built in feature.
The Machine collects all the dust produced.
The machine maintenance requires skilled and trained workmen.
The first machine in a textile mill of spun yarn or woven fabrics is the Blow Room,it gets the name as it blows the cotton through out for cleaning and making it suitable for further processing in the next department namely "Carding'.

Photo - Reiter.
The Ring Spinning Machine of Rieter's,which eliminates the problem of doffing ( removing the spun yarn filled bobbins)and placing empty bobbins called donning, which is mainly done manually by a number of workmen there by a time consuming process and resulting in loss of yarn production is eliminated and the machine takes over the complete job by doing it automatically - there by gets the name"Auto Doffer Ring Spinning Machine".
Quality Control Tests.
Checks are made at:
Raw Cotton.
Opened Cotton.
The rest of the tests at each and every stage is taken care by the machine itself or by a random check on all the machines as per quality control standards prescribed for each machine. This may vary as per the quality of the end product that goes to the market.
It may be gray yarn.
It may be processed yarn.
It may be yarn for weaving in the mill itself.
The Open End Spinning Machine ( Photo - Rieter)

Reiter's the world leaders in textile machinery manufacturers and Lakshmi Machine Worksheet Coimbatore, together set up a giant textile manufacturing unit for the manufacture of textile machinery for cotton spinning initially and their success in marketing and services by M/S.Voltas Ltd,made a huge impact on modernization of textile mills.those who managed their mills well got this as a golden opportunity and quickly redesigned their mills working with these machines and reaped the benefits.thous who waited or watched lost their chance as they did not bother to book their orders even with 1 % advance.(initially offered). The machines offered went on and on with newer versions, better techniques and gadgets to reduce labor and improve quality also.
The Open End Spinning Machine was a jewel in any textile mill producing out put, that could be done with these machines, and other mills with similar improved machines.those mills which were managed by the day soon had to slowly close down due to low demand for their products and had to shut down.
Technicians and workers were jobless.labor Unions started agitation which went on till the Prime Minister of the country had to intervene and bring an 'Ordinance' to take over as many as 111 Textile Mills of many which were a big name in textiles like TATA's,FINLEY's and Group's of mills.
These:111 Textile mill owners were out of their air conditioned rooms and out of the mills gates,Some greedy mill owners went up to Supreme Court but were disappointed.
The Prime Minister:
Constituted -National Textile Corporation Ltd,To run these mills.
A Minister of Textiles in the union cabinet was created.
What happened ?.
Billions of rupees were spent to update the mills machines.
Most of the mills were mismanaged.
Almost all the money has gone down the drain now, after 35 years of management by many politicians, technocrats, bureaucrats, professionals of every type in every field over these years.
As of now more than 50 % of these nationalized mills are shut. From grass to electric bulbs sold.Workers and staff sent on a golden hand shake spending billions of rupees of tax payers money.
All on account of lack of foresightedness on the part of people who were at the helm of affairs.
Merit went underground, rampant corruption, self interest and insufficient knowledge of scientific management coupled without knowing the technological revolution that was taking place in other areas of textile technology or technical textiles all lead to the collapsing of the giant of the Nation's large textile mill conglomeration known as NTC Ltd,
जोकिंग्ल्य कॉल्ड अस नेशनल तेक्ष्तिले करप्शन ल्त्द jokingly talked about by many of the the employees as National Textile Corruption Ltd) spread all over the nation, as subsidiaries of NTC Ltd located in the nation's capitol New Delhi.
Today just under 70 of the 119 textile mills are running and the rest of the mills from the biggest to the smallest mill are closed.Open land is sold to Land Sharks in prime location in Mumbai,Indore,Ujjain,Bangalore and many prime locations in important city's and places.

It is a wonder that no mill is closed in the state of Kerala after nationalization.( it is said that workers manage the mills and not NTC ).If it is not true than how these mills are working, not even one is closed The secret is that the workmen of NTC mills in kerala are not only educated but well informed of anything that their actions would lead to their mill, and their future.( I say this because of my working experience as CEO of these mills in SOUTH N T C Mills.)

If only we had entered in to any sort of collaboration with a reputed textile machinery manufactures(like Reiter) or any mill management of repute in technical textiles in any part of the UK,USA or EU countries;
Like 123-Techtex.
abggeosynthetics,
Monforts,
arowe.co.uk
Even if they had handed over these mills to our own countries best managed mills like.
Bombay Dyeing & Mfg. Co Ltd,
Raymond's,
Arvind's,
Century Spg & Mfg Co Ltd,
Giving these mills without any liabilities but financial support through bank guaranties needing, no expenditure of revenue then, perhaps we would have saved billions of rupees of the tax payer money or even by earning plenty of money by way of rentals to the leased mills by the mill management to whom the mills were given to manage and perhaps pleased would be, the soul of our Late Prime Minister Mrs.Indira Gandhi( The tigress of Indian politicians ) who created NTC.

Even today the Bureaucrats who are in charge of these mill management sitting in big city's, have no good highly qualified technologists to advice them. They do not have the powers to get advice from private textile technologists. They might have not even seen a textile mill and are aware of the technology of textiles.Let alone technical textiles or seen machines like:
Crocheting machine,
Modern knitting machine(high speed),needle loom,
Cylinder cord machine,lace machine,
Elastic webbing,gimp,lacy,ornamental string,abdominal binder,drapery brush fringe,gala yarns,gimp yarns,fingering yarn,fancy yarn,shutter's ladder tape,zipper's small band,X mas ribbon.bullion fringe,galloon and underwear lace,Quilting machine,Foam Machine, Mattress Machine, Automatic glove making machine and Electronic Jacquard machines.
How can they plan to produce Technical Textiles such as:
1) Industrial yarns, or Industrial Fabrics.
2) Protective fabrics.
3) Outdoor fabrics.
4) Aerospace composites.
5) Industrial yarns or Fabrics.
6) Artificial grass etc etc.
They do not want to consult anybody as they are the master's of everything that they manage very well what happened, just resulted in over 60 textile mills being now shut down. Not a single mill is manufacturing yarn or fabric in technical textile area.
The worst part is ( Which will be announced as) that a committee is under active planning to make all these mills equipped with latest machines and would be the best mills making profits which will be implemented soon

In piece meal or en- block as per the decision of any of the committee that may be formed!.

Who will the members of the committee ?.

What will bet he decision of the committee ?.

The committee's decision would be to modernize all the mills further by spending just a few thousand crores.

Resulting in crores of Tax Payers money which will be going down the drain by about 80 % or more which again will be unknown .
Let NTC tell us what is their plan of action?.

We Import ?.
Somehow, India has made little or no progress in the growing area of technical textiles. Global consumption of technical textiles is now said to be now close to US$100 billion. In India, though the polyester industry says nearly ten per cent of PFY goes towards non-apparel applications, there is still no authentic status report of the scenario. In India, the technical textiles industry has largely remained restricted to coated fabrics used for umbrellas and upholsteries etc. Even flame-retardant coatings for curtains etc have made very little progress because of prohibitively high costs.
As is the case elsewhere, definition of technical textiles is vague in India. Do disposable diapers for babies form a part of technical textiles or medical textiles? The answer depends upon who is compiling the data and for what purpose. As such, consumption of products like diapers, automobile upholsteries, disposable fabrics for hospitals and even hotels is growing in India, too. However, India continues to import a large part of the requirements of such products, including items like fabrics for the lining of canals etc.

OK. WE IMPORT.WE HAVE TO, BUT DO WE EXPORT?.ARE ANY FIRMS REGISTERED HERE?
HERE IS THE ANSWER FROM THE WEB SITE:CENTER FOR THE PROMOTION OF IMPORTS FROM DEVELOPING COUNTRIES.
