VICUNA FIBER FROM PERU.

LEGALLY IMPORTED VICUNA FIBER FROM PERU. THIS IS FOR 1 (one) OUNCE (28 grams)OF THIS VERY RARE FIBER.

I have finally been able to get some Vicuna fiber. THIS FIBER IS TOTAL DEHAIRED WITH NO GUARD HAIRS AND VERY, VERY CLEAN! The U.S. fish and Game dept. has downgraded the Vicuna from endangered to threatened. Because of this it is now legal to import Vicuna fiber from Peru, with the correct documentation, of course. I can tell you the feel is heavenly! It spins a lot like cashmere since it is a short fiber about 22mm in length, which is less than one inch. The micron count on this is 12.9!!!! This fiber is finer and softer than Qiviut. I would use the yarn spun very fine as a lace scarf or shawl. Or use it as an accent yarn on a larger garment. I will include a copy of the valid CITES export permit or re-export certificate with each order as required by law.
