[ Energy and Cleantech in Australia ]

The 13th tech perhaps, we have to think?.
Clean technology (cleantech) includes products, processes and services that allow for a reduction in non-renewable natural resources as well as reducing emissions and waste. Clean technologies include renewable energies, water resource management, waste treatment systems, information technologies and energy-efficient applications.
In Australia, cleantech research is critical to address the issues of climate change / energy needs and the scarcity of water resources.
Indicative of the growing role of clean technologies in Australia is the founding of venture capital company Cleantech Ventures Pty Ltd. This Australian-owned and managed fund has a range of portfolio companies in water, energy and advanced materials.
