New technical textiles dedicated to both infusion and closed molding applications.
JB Martin Ltd., a weaver of high performance materials for composite applications, announced on the 23rd of February 2011 the availability of MartinFuse™ NCS and multi-layer woven fabrics made of carbon, basalt, E-glass, S-glass, Twintex, and various hybrid combinations.
These materials have been specifically designed by a team of experts in both infusion and fabric design. They perform very well in both infusion and closed molding applications.
The MartinFuse™ materials allow production of excellent fiber-to-resin ratio composites and serve as both flow media and reinforcement materials. According to JB Martin, they have superior resin flow in all 3 axes (X, Y and Z). Fabrics are available in standard and customized widths of up to 355 cm (140 inches) and in weights up to 3250 g/m2. JB Martin’s infusion fabrics are successfully being used in marine, tooling, transportation and military applications where these new infusion materials improve properties and allow ease of processing.
JB Martin Ltd. will exhibit at JEC Composites Show Europe in Paris from March 29th to 31st on booth V30.
